<li><b>Convert the SME’s vision into effective learning content: </b>Our SMEs are experts in their technical domain, but not always teaching or curriculum experts. You will take their ideas and rough materials (hand-sketched slides, bullet-pointed notes, or recorded video lectures) and convert them into learner-facing content (slides, scripts, quizzes, reading items, etc.). Although you do not have to be an expert in the subject of every course, you must be sufficiently technical to understand the material and its intent, and rapidly upskill, before or in the process of creating a new program. </li><li><b>Review and provide feedback on technical content</b>: You will be learner zero, and the judge and advocate of how other learners will perceive the material. This requires expertise in instructional design and an ability to empathize with learners. You will need to identify areas of improvement in material produced by SMEs or your peers, suggest solutions, and implement them. </li><li><b>Ensure consistently high content quality and good pedagogy. </b>Effective courses are accurate, cohesive, and engaging. You will be working with peers, with the guidance of the SME and CPM to provide the connective tissue that aligns all the various pieces of feedback and content together. In this generalist role, you could be creating assessments one day, and making video edits to align the scripts and slides the next, all with great attention to detail. </li><li><b>You will review content: </b>Be responsible for revising, improving, and/or supplementing with additional content to ensure clarity, accuracy, and interest.&nbsp;This requires expertise in instructional design and an ability to empathize with learners. You will need to have the ability to not only identify areas of the content that need improvement but also to offer solutions and implement those improvements. Familiarity with pedagogical practices such as defining learning objectives and backward design, as well as experience applying such practices in the creation of online educational content, is a significant plus.&nbsp;</li>

At least a basic knowledge of AI/machine learning is required.&nbsp;</li><li>Bachelors in STEM/AI/CS or equivalent industry experience in areas like software development, machine learning, or data science.&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent communicator and team player with the ability to author and edit high-quality written content in English.</li>

<li>Previous experience developing online asynchronous curricula in the areas of AI, machine learning, data science, robotics, or similar.</li><li>Industry experience as a data scientist, machine learning engineer, or similar.</li>

<li>Create go-to-market strategies and campaigns for new and existing products, and execute them.</li><li>Speak to our audience of mainly developers and engineers with technical accuracy and messaging that represents our brand and connects with target audiences.</li><li>Ship regularly. This position will focus largely on our long-form courses on Coursera, and support&nbsp;the short- courses on our learning platform that teach the cutting-edge field of generative AI regularly (weekly).&nbsp;</li><li>Maintain and elevate the product voice and identity across channels and campaigns.</li><li>Responsible for product positioning, creative ideation, copywriting, product narrative, and creating product and marketing assets in collaboration with the marketing team, including design and web development.</li><li>Work closely with Digital, Editorial, and Event marketing leads on marketing strategy.</li><li>Champion our end users and act as the internal expert regarding their preferences, pain points, and motivators.</li><li>Collaborate with product and engineering teams and industry and educational partners.</li><li>Act as the de facto program manager and coordinate between internal stakeholders and external partners to design and lead multi-channel, integrated marketing projects end-to-end.</li><li>Support and assist other teammates’ marketing initiatives, including newsletter and event campaigns.</li><li>There will also be opportunities to work directly with the Founder (Andrew Ng) and other industry experts to craft marketing materials.</li>

<li><b>4+ years of Product Marketing Experience:</b> Ideally at a fast-paced technology company.</li><li><b>Marketing to Technical Audiences: </b>Experience marketing to technical or developer audiences, with a solid understanding of developer communities and the ability to engage with them effectively.</li><li><b>Startup Experience: </b>Ability to thrive in a startup environment, wearing multiple hats within the marketing department, and navigating ambiguity and uncertainty effectively.</li><li><b>Exceptional Writing Skills:</b> Strong written communication skills, with the ability to craft non-clichéd storytelling and persuasive calls to action.</li><li><b>Strategic and Tactical Proficiency:</b> Proven ability to work at both strategic and tactical levels, driving marketing strategies while executing day-to-day tasks effectively.</li><li><b>Product Launch Management:</b> Demonstrated experience managing product launches end-to-end, from planning to execution.</li><li><b>Project Management:</b> Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering results within budget constraints.</li>

<li>Consumer Technical Product or Online Learning Industry Experience: Familiarity with consumer technology products or e-learning products, especially AI or emerging tech, with demonstrated success in product launches and marketing.</li><li>Coding Experience: Experience with coding or a basic understanding and knowledge of Python, preferred for deeper technical comprehension.</li><li>Creative Thinking: Appetite for generating original, creative ideas and openness to new thinking.</li><li>Eye for design: Proficiency in communicating direction and feedback for graphic design to create visually compelling marketing materials.</li>
